Frequently Asked Questions in alphabetical order:
Arrival time: Can we go into the Apartment before 4'o clock on arrival?
The official time for entry to your Apartment is 4 o clock. If you arrive before
4 you are welcome to use the outside facilities, eg. pool and sun beds but will
not be able to get into the Apartment until it has been cleaned. Please remember
that previous guests will still be in residence before 10am so no entry to the
Apartment will be allowed before that time.
Car hire: How many different people can drive the hire car?
If you require additional drivers the names can be added and insurance charged
as an extra cost once in resort.
Departure time: Can we stay in the Apartment later than the confirmed vacating
time of 10am?
This is not possible as the Apartment will need to be cleaned and prepared for
the next guest. However if you have very special requirements for needing to
stay in the Apartment after 10am then please ask the manager once in resort.
Hair dryer: Is a hair dryer in the Apartments?
Generally all Apartments have 1 Hair dryer.
Iron: Is there an iron and ironing board at the Apartments?
Generally all Apartments have 1 iron and ironing board.
Keys: Where do I pick up my Apartment keys?
Our manageress will be waiting for you in the Cortijo and will hand over the
Keys. For late or very early arrivals, the main entrance gates are fitted with a
key box, with a number lock. This number will be e-mailed to you once your
booking has been confirmed and the deposit paid. Use this key to open the main
gate and replace it in the box. Your apartment key will be in your apartment
door, with your name on the door.
Linen and towels: Is linen and towels provided in the apartment/houses?
All bedroom and bathroom linen is provided. You will need to take your own beach
towels to use around the pool.
Maid service: Is there maid service?
Short Term Rental - Yes - one service a week. You can book extra maid service if
you wish, but you will be charged for it.
Long Term Rental
- No - but maid service can be arranged for an extra charge. Extra bed linen and
towels are provided in the apartment for you to change yourself.
What are the passport and driving license requirements abroad?
All passengers must carry a valid 10 year passport with at least 6 months left
before the expiry date. Standard EU driving licenses are fine. You do not have
to have the new type with photo ID.
Visas may be required by certain passengers who do not carry an EU passport.
Please refer to your passport office.
Pay: How can I pay and when will my balance be due?
By debit or credit card. If sending a cheque, the holiday cannot be booked
until the cheque has cleared, which can take up to 40 working days. The balance is
due on arrival. Please
note that balances paid by credit card are subject to a surcharge of 2.00%.
Pool: What is the size of the pool?
The size of our pool is approximately 8x4 metres and 1.50 to 2.00 metres deep.
Safes: Do the Apartments have safes?
No, no apartment has a safe.
Satellite TV: I have satellite TV in the Apartment what channels does that
include?
It will be local Spanish satellite and Astra channels TV. Limited English
speaking channels are available – please do not expect the usual satellite
channels you receive at home.
Transfers: Are transfers provided?
We can arrange transfers. Please ask when making your booking. However this is a
chargeable extra. There is a perfect good bus service from MalagaAirport to Antequera and then to La
Joya.
Welcome pack: What is in a welcome pack?
Basic essentials which include tea, coffee, water, juice, milk and a bottle of
Cava. Don’t rely on this pack to feed you for days – it is only the basic
essentials to last you until the local shop opens! If you are arriving on a
Sunday or Bank Holiday, our manageress will be pleased to arrange bread, ham,
cheese, etc., to see you through until the shops are open again. Please e-mail
your requirements to us.
