Flamenco Flamenco of the top tablaos (shows) can be found on the Costa del Sol and right here. Two different styles of Flamenco are on offer, the traditional and the way the gypsies are dancing. Of all regional dance forms, this is the most subtly erotic, and certainly one of the most visually beautiful. All parts of the body are used, from the fingers drawing arabesque shapes in the air to the shoulders and hips moving to the music. Our guests will see original Flamenco dancing (not organised tourist shows) during their stay in the Cortijo. We have arranged for participating on Flamenco dancing in Antequera and in gypsy areas.
The Weather in Andalusia Andalusia enjoys 300 days of sunshine a year in a pleasant sub-tropical climate, reckoned by many to be the best in Europe. The average annual temperature is around 19 C (66 F). The coastal regions tend to be 8 or 10 degrees cooler than the searing heat which afflicts cities such as Cordoba. The climate on the southern region of Andalusia is generally accepted as being the best in Europe. In winter, it can be chilly after dark, but there's never a frost on the coasts, or the penetrating cold of Northern Europe. Generally, daytime temperatures rarely fall below 10 C (50 F), and even in mid-winter can be nudging past 20 C (68 F). It does rain sometimes, of course, and that's of critical importance in Andalusia. However, the main rainfall of the year occurs in January and February, while from April to October, clouds are rarely seen,
