The "Cortijo La Joya" is an Authentic rustic Village Farmhouse (Cortijo) with 

10 newly build charming Apartments, offering

Cortijo “La Joya” is a 300 year old Farmhouse with 3 Patios for your privacy and newly built Swimming Pool and Jacuzzi / Hot Tub. It is a beautiful rustic, charming farmhouse, totally private and ideal for those who wish to ‘get away from it all’. It is highly recommended for summer and winter Holidays in Europe.

Cortijo “La Joya” is one of the last old Andalusian farmhouses, built in this style with a patio. It is located on the edge of a small village (La Joya) which has all the amenities: Shop, Bakeries,  Doctor, Pharmacy, Bank, Restaurant, Venta Bar (serves food) and two more local Bar.

Cortijo “La Joya” has 10 Apartments. All Bedrooms in the Apartments are en-suite. It has an In- house Bodega (Wine cellar) and a traditional Bakery. Outside features include: Patios, Swimming pool and Jacuzzi / Hot Tub  and Barbeque area. The main Patio and some of the Apartments have wheel chair access. 

All apartments have central heating (Apartments 1 - 10) and an open fire place or a wood burning stove (Apartments 1 - 8) as well as a traditional Andalusian style fully equipped Kitchen. A movable gas heater for a quick heat is also installed in each apartment.   Separate washing and drying facilities are available in the Farmhouse.

All apartments are fitted with Satellite TV and an DVD player (DVD's can be rented at reception). Sky Satellite Television can be viewed in the Bodega. The Apartments have a Phone (with Voice and Data port) to make and receive phone calls.  The data port is for a modem to communicate with the Internet and  handle your e-mails.

Bedding and Towels are provided. Short term rentals:  All costs are included in our prices.  A once the week cleaning service is free.  For more services please look under "Services".

For 'Long term rentals' and 'Golden Age' clients the cleaning service is extra if wanted. A small surcharge for the enormous energy price increase will be added to your bill. (more details under "Services".)

The Renovation of the “Cortijo La Joya”.

All renovations have been carried out very carefully, in order to preserve the appearance of this 300 year old Cortijo (Land house). Both the old tiled floors and the old walls have been preserved. Stone paved floors have been left in place to sample the living of the old centuries with the only modern editions being the swimming pool, the Jacuzzi, satellite television and phones. A fax service is available in the reception.

A Cortijo with a History:

"La Joya" translated means Jewel.  It was the first House in the Village and is still the largest.  A few centuries ago, a certain Spanish Lady of aristocratic blood, was well known for defending herself from the "Banditos" that came from the mountains.  She was known to fire from a hidden window at all persons entering the Cortijo without her consent. Thankfully, those times are over and we welcome all of our guests.
